Badger酒精液體飼料可以看作是Lieber-DeCarli酒精液體飼料基礎上改進的模型飼料,也可以根據需要任意調整蛋白質、碳水化合物和脂肪的熱量比例,或者任意更改任何營養素的含量(缺乏、過載)。

因此,Badger酒精液體飼料使用的關鍵是,需要預先對動物胃內(或食管)埋管。其實,做過這種方法的研究人員都體會到該方法并不復雜,難度不大。
